Position Summary:

Vallen's Digital Solutions Leader is an individual contributor position responsible for advancing the growth of our eCommerce/Digital sales by working closely with our external and internal customers. They act as a liaison between functional teams (sales, IT, development, external vendors and digital) and end-users/customers for the implementation and/or solution development.  They identify and document functional systems requirements, lead the implementation, and participates in application functional testing. Responsibilities are broken into three main focal areas: Support, Competency Management, and Solution ownership, growth and analytics.  Essential functions include:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer, Sales and Operations Support

  • Participates on digital project teams: assists with defining project scope and timeline, identifies project tasks, estimates delivery/due dates and monitors activities through task completion; successfully delivers assigned project tasks
  • Demonstrates strong business process knowledge to gather customer requirements as input to application design and software enhancements; gathers functional requirements and assists with translating them into technical specifications.
  • Assists with system configuration and installation processes.
  • Provide expert consulting to sales, operations and customers to regarding eBusines/digital solutions.
  • Interface with sales, operations and customers to create customer requirements, proposed solution and implementation plan
  • Lead rollout of new and re-activation programs
  • Use stakeholder feedback to contribute to prioritization and design of E-business customer experience and improved solutions
  • Logs and reviews company and/or external digital solution requests
  • Provides post-launch support, researches and resolves customer issues


Internal Competency Management

  • Serve as the resident expert for the digital solutions and how they help achieve business goals
  • Train sales and operations, as needed, on digital solutions use-cases and value to the organization people how to uncover customer needs and solve those needs with digital tools.
  • Develop scope documents for new digital solution features – work with teams on development and testing of new features
  • Develop methods to identify, track and measure customer-specific Digital solution adoption and growth\
  • Coordinates and collaborates with the programming team on a regular basis

Solution Ownership, Growth and Analytics

  • Be an ambassador for digital solutions for the organization, including presenting solutions via roadshows
  • Maintain project status via Digital Dashboard
  • Participate in investigating, creating, testing, and supporting new eBusiness solutions which will benefit the organization and. customers.
  • Delivery directly, and/or via analysts, reports on solution usage, opportunities and growth

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 5+ years of hands on experience with digital solution implementation and solution management.  Applicable experience should include:

  • 5 years’ experience in eCommerce and/or Digital solution management
  • Experience working in a project-based environment
  • Strong communication skills; written & verbal
  • Experience working with Solution Vendors and understanding of IT infrastructure to support digital solutions
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and trouble shooting skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office suite
  • e ERP application knowledge
  • Technical aptitude to learn other company systems, applications, and interfaces

 

Working Conditions and Environment:

Travel:

Yes  - Attend meetings at Belmont HQ, customer locations and support digital roadshows
