We are seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to focus on strategic transaction planning and execution (mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, etc). This role undertakes long-term strategic planning; allocates resources and make decisions regarding organization growth and diversification to accomplish the organization's vision.

  • Research and development on the front-end target pipeline management, business case and deal value creation & analysis, due diligence, leading the integration process of newly acquired companies and reporting on performance.
  • Identify and analyze possible mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Report on corporate risks including financial, insurance, operations, project, market, and other regulatory risk. Monitor acquisitions, including follow up on performance and escrow tracking. Calculate acquisition performance versus expectations on recurring basis.
  • Financial evaluation and modeling of potential investment opportunities (analyze quality of earnings, synergy, integration assumptions, quality of working capital, etc.) Own financial tracking and true up as required by purchase agreement including cash, debt, receivable collection, and working capital. Oversee purchase accounting, opening balance sheet creation, trial balance mapping and linking of IT systems.
  • Lead and participate in various special projects
  • Create and maintain various acquisition presentations and summaries to present to executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in finance with increasing responsibility
  • Prior deal experience including financial valuation and diligence
  • Project Management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA, MBA, Pubic Accounting Experience a plus
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Strong planning, organizational and execution skills
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing direction
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to think strategically
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong leadership, problem solving, and negotion
  • Ability to build trust, confidence, and influence across the organization
