Job Description

Position Summary:

A cross-functional role intended to support special projects as directed by the CEO and VP of Operations. This position is responsible to act as facilitator of inter-departmental collaboration around subject areas that support corporate initiatives.  The Operations Project Manager will research, recommend and coordinate implementation of projects that foster continuous improvement across the organization.  Primary areas of focus to include: quality of inventory offering, Operations & Logistics processes and all aspects of material management based on feedback from customers, sales and internal stakeholders. The Operations Project Manager must act as collaborator and connector of ideas, resources and individuals specific to project directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Research, collect and analyze relevant data around high-level subject matter with little direction
  • Possess a curious nature, open mindset and collaborative approach to interpersonal communication and the pursuit of work
  • Present suggestions for continuous improvement to management and executive teams
  • Digest various business analytic data and present findings in a professional and relevant manner to improve the decision-making process
  • Be an ongoing learner while fostering that attitude and teaching of others daily
  • Define & communicate project scope, determine action items and metrics that support project directives
  • Act as the voice of the field to understand and relay feedback from the perspective of others across the departments, sharing knowledge of established process & procedures, elevating challenges, and submitting recommendations for new projects focused on continuous improvement

Required Skills


Education and/or Experience: 

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or Distribution experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University
  • 3 - 5 years' of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Advanced Excel required
  • Access skills preferred
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Must demonstrate good time management skills
  • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
  • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
  • Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
  • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Long and varied hours required occasionally
  • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions

Physical Demands 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance.
