Summary

The Safety and Facility Manager will lead IES, company-wide, regarding Safety and Facility Maintenance. This position will develop, implement, and facilitate a company-wide “Safety and Facility Maintenance program” through a hands-on approach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES – SAFETY:

  • Develop, implement, and facilitate a comprehensive, company-wide “Safety Program”
  • “Safety Program” to include but not limited to:
    • Risk Management
    • Compliance of OSHA, DOT and other federal, state or local requirements (including administration of applicable records)
    • Vehicle Safety Initiative
    • Safety Award Program
    • Safety Newsletter
    • Employee Safety and Life-saving Training
    • Workplace Injury & Illness Prevention
    • Analyze data and implement strategies to address areas of weakness

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES – FACILITY MAINTENANCE:

  • Develop, implement and facilitate a comprehensive, company-wide “Facility Maintenance” program
  • Facility Maintenance Program to include but not limited to:
    • CDC and Branch Facility Maintenance Inspections
    • Utility Management
    • Scheduled maintenance Plan for: Heating/Air/Electrical/Plumbing/Parking Lots/Building Structures/Paint/Walls and Flooring
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or 3 - 5 years' of related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibility, work environment and physical demands
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
  • This position works in a normal office environment as well as a warehouse environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. while working in the office.  The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate and temperature can change based on the season.  This position also requires frequent travel to branches, which can be in a variety of environments including outdoor with inclement weather.
  • Work is sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 60% of the time.
