The Opportunity

Vallen’s Accounts Payable Manager is a staff management position responsible for managing the accounts payable (AP) function, including such activities as the timely payment of all vendor invoices and expense vouchers, and the maintenance of accurate AP records and control reports.  They develop, mentor and direct the work of associates processing, accounting, and preparing financial reporting of AP transactions.

Qualifications & Benefits

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance)
  • 3+ years of experience managing an AP Department.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of general accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.
  • Previous staff management or supervisory experience required.
  • Must have strong MS-Excel skills, including formulas such as V-lookup preferred.
  • Experience with Info Distribution SX.e is a plus
  • Demonstrate strong communication, planning, organizational, time management, problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Quality mindset with attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proven ability to set goals and meet tight deadlines with heavy workload.
  • Ability to mentor new staff and work with existing staff to cross-train.
