OUR OPPORTUNITY: 

Our Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating income through electrical product sales and services to industrial accounts, creating and maintaining positive customer relationships, and providing leadership to sales departments in order to help keep and increase the business of Capital Electric.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Listen to the customer, learn what they need and provide solutions with our extensive product line, competitive pricing, excellence in customer service and reliability.
  • Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations. Respond to customers with a sense of urgency and ensure commitments are met.
  • Understand our products, applications and uses in the markets we serve.
  • Use selling skills, account management, and customer relations techniques to proactively grow market share and ensure Capital Electric as the top distributor in the market.
  • Maximize customer penetration through sales, gross margin, and product mix. 
  • Demonstrate concern for achieving or surpassing results against an internal or external standard of excellence.
  • Display passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Support the success of the organization through teamwork, cross regional and interdepartmental cooperation and collaboration. 

QUALIFICATIONS WE REQUIRE:

  • Our top candidates will have a minimum of 3 years recent successful electrical distribution sales experience, skilled in selling products & services, negotiating sales, pricing and terms. 
  • Industrial accounts sales experience is required.
  • Must have the experience and willingness to grow a territory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability and desire to learn new software, specifically Eclipse.
