Job Description

Viking Electric is Hiring an Account Manager for our north west region of Minnesota (including Brainerd)

As an account manager you will be a business manager and leader for the assigned account package by increasing the value of Viking Electric to our customers, growing the volume and profitability of the account base, and promoting all of Viking Electric's products and services in a professional and ethical manner. Some of the additional duties and responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and selling the people, products and services of Viking Electric. The Account Manager must be able to tailor a business plan that is appropriate to each customer's business potential and market needs.
  • Negotiating with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability, and to ensure that each customer uses Viking as their primary source of material.
  • Work with Account Representative(s) and all other specialists to make sure the customer is receiving quality service and disputes and issues are resolved
  • Coordinate efforts with the credit department by obtaining the accounts receivable goals maximizing possible sales
  • Growing the account package by prospecting for new accounts as applicable.

Compensation: Base salary + Commission and bonus
