Position Summary: The AR Account Manager is responsible for maintaining a Regional AR portfolio and the risk management of that portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Suggest and recommend credit lines for customers
  • Review and maintain credit limits and portfolio risk
  • Provide regular reports to Credit Manager with recommendation on changes of terms and risk
  • Maintain and update collection call on assigned set of receivables by Credit Manager
  • Coordinate meetings with Operation and Credit Teams
  • Attend industry credit meetings
  • Resolve disputes with customers and sales team
  • Recommend solutions for conflict between sales and financial issues related to Accounts Receivable
  • Assist Credit Manager with support activities
  • Assist Credit Manager with management reporting activities
  • Backfill Credit Analyst essential duties; train and assist Credit Analyst with their assignments as needed
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

        Education and/or Experience:

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required;
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; or
  • 3 - 5 years' in a Accounting Manager or lead Financial Analyst role; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products; experience with Eclipse ERP a plus
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Possess experience analyzing financial data; forming and communicating an opinion
  • Thrives on a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience conduction collection calls and working with a sales team to resolve conflict
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Skilled at identifying, researching, coordinating and revolving issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information
