Capital Electric has a position available at our corporate office in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  The Inside Sales / Customer Sales Representative will directly support Capital Electric’s Small Contractor Sales Initiative.  Earn a competitive base salary plus commissions

What You’ll Be Doing:  

Make outbound sales calls to new and existing customers to increase market share, provide consistent and superior customer service, and proactively pursue new accounts through warm calls, cold calls, and other campaigns. The Inside Sales - Customer Service Representative will be responsible for building a book of business; generating sales and margin; providing timely, accurate, and complete material quotations; negotiating pricing and terms with vendors and customers; receiving and processing all customer inquiries, purchase orders, back orders, credit return authorizations, price increases, and other sales related functions.

Required Skills

What we need from you for you to be successful?

  • 1-2 years solid customer service and/or inside sales doing cold calling for new business and cultivating existing customers. 
  • Strong math aptitude, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Basic computer/technology skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, internet, voicemail, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and selling skills and the ability to work independently
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
