Job Description

Position Summary: Sells products for various manufacturers to Assembly & Manufacturing customers. In this role the inside sales rep may also do much of the procurement of products to support both the branches customers as well as the shop. May act as a liaison between customers and the dedicated Field Sales Representative by providing pricing, availability and any required customer service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Answer incoming sales calls from both external and internal customers.
  • Responsible for complete order management, including expediting and communication with the customer.
  • Sales order entry and purchasing of customer requirements for specific price lines.
  • Report lost sales.
  • Write credits in a timely manner.
  • Attend product and training sessions.
  • Organize and maintain product catalog library.
  • Develop superior product knowledge and assist customers with product application where applicable.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Assist with annual bid requirements.
  • Gather documentation as requested by customers including certifications and country of origin.
  • Participate on customer follow up calls and assist in regular reporting.

Qualifications:

        Education and/or Experience:

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or Distribution experience preferred but not required

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; or
  • 1 - 3 years' of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Required Experience

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years counter, inside and/or field sales
