Summary:

Do you have a passion for learning and love working with people?  Our Inside Sales Reps have the opportunity to join an industry leader offering our clients the lowest cost of doing business giving customers the greatest long-term value.  You'll sell our products over the phone, email and in person and improve relationships with our valued customers while developing personal technical knowledge of our products sold.   This role will primarily work with commercial contractors. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, or in person 
  • Quote prices, prepare bids and provide information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates
  • Identifies, uses and maintains appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems
  • Supports Counter as needed
  • Makes phone calls to regular and prospective customers to solicit orders
  • Provides excellent customer service and consistent follow-up throughout the sales process
  • Resolves customer order problems and complaints promptly
  • Acquires, uses and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of general and specialty merchandise items to assist customers and other company personnel
  • Determines make, type, and quality of merchandise desired by being familiar with products sold in the department by use, vendor, location in warehouse, catalog and catalog number, other reference materials, and special selling points
  • Work with Operational support team to ensure the timely delivery to meet customer expectations. 
  • Establishes or improves relationships with customers to better understand sales territory, schedule and customer needs by phone, email, and customer visits
  • Sells and promotes branch and company-wide promotions and specials as directed

 Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Electrical industry/products required
  • Sales experience is a plus but not required
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, working with project management skills to involve customer contact, bids and quotations
  • Exceptional customer service skills to include strong communication skills
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency
  • Presentation skills to include MS software: Word, Excel and PP
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
