Job Description

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Lead provides inventory process oversight and advanced administrative support, along with problem solving resolution for OneSource Distribution Center facilities; with the primary goal of ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction.  This position is also expected to assist with daily Distribution Center activities as needed to ensure the team is functioning well together.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Act as a lead for the Inventory team
  • Train employees on inventory control polices and processes
  • Perform annual physical inventories at Non-RF branches
  • Oversee daily cycle counts and recounts
  • Review daily backorder report and investigate backorder related inventory discrepancies
  • Review and resolve inventory related U.E.T.’s (Unquality Event Tracker)
  • Investigate all inventory adjustments and determine the cause of any inaccuracies
  • Provide analysis to management on inventory discrepancies
  • Participate in all inventory audits (internal and external)
  • Investigate and reply to all inventory related job queues

Required Skills

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or Distribution experience preferred but not required
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 - 3 years' of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Long and varied hours required occasionally
  • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 20-25 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
