The Opportunity

Vallen is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to focus on increasing sales of Cutting Tools, Industrial & Safety MRO and OEM products and services to Manufacturing customers in the West/Northwest Houston area.  As a Vallen Sales Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with an extensive product line and will lead some of the best sales teams in the business.  You are encouraged to be a true resource for our customers and internal sales teams by establishing long lasting relationships.  Our Sales Leads will work with the support of a true team environment from our Customer Service Representatives and Account Representatives to our Operations team. 


  • Responsible for performance in areas of sales, gross margin, market share growth and customer service metrics
  • Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships
  • Implement Vallen sales and marketing strategies
  • Improve Vallen profitability year over year
  • Meet or exceed customer KPI’s of market customers
  • Responsible for sales force productivity by ensuring appropriate coaching and development of all sales personnel

Qualifications and Benefits

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the industrial distribution industry.
  • Experience selling to Manufacturing customers is required
  • Experience leading an outside sales team is required
  • Knowledge of Safety and Industrial products and services is required
  • Experience using a CRM to drive performance
  • P&L management is desired
  • Strong with client follow up, organizational skills, & excellent communication skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
