Job Description

The Opportunity

Vallen’s Integrated Supply National Account Manager is a staff management with direct P&L responsibility for all sales activities within an assigned IS Customer portfolio. They manage the work of Account Representatives and/or Account Managers who are responsible for selling the organization’s products and/or services and delivering cost savings. They establish market sales goals and track performance against expectations. They access market profitability, performance, and opportunity to forecast and manage P&L goals and objectives. They formulate market sales strategies and provide guidance to those they manage to implement the desired strategy. They provide contract guidance and are actively engaged in developing new business opportunities as well as customer retention strategies.

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goal
  • Managing Account Reps
  • Responsible for Conducting regular business reviews both at Corporate and Key Customer Sites
  • Ensure Vallen Senior Executives are actively engaged at Top Customers
  • Communication of Strategic Customer Plans/Objectives with Regional Teams
  • Coordinate all Vallen resources for the benefit of the customer
  • Cross sell products and services effectively including Franchise Conversion 
  • Negotiate appropriate contract pricing
  • Ensure Contract Implementation at all customer locations
  • Contract Compliance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

Qualifications & Benefits

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing or a similarly applicable industry (indirect materials a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Distribution or similar field of study.  Business degrees will also be considered.  MBA is desired. 
  • Must be able to travel on average of 4 nights per week (75%)
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills with ability to interact with executive level managers
  • Must be analytical with strong business acumen
  • Must be highly analytical with ability to analyze customer financial data/reports
