The Opportunity

Vallen is currently seeking an Operations Manager to manage inside sales and customer service, warehouse, and administrative activities with supervision responsibilities for all associates physically located at the branch. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for branch operations performance, with emphasis on customer service, operating expenses and working capital
  • Responsible for branch warehouse and inventory management
  • Provide overall leadership to drive flawless execution, culture, and company values 
  • Attract, hire, develop and train all assigned branch positions

Note:  This position mostly consists of managing inside sales and customer service.  Transportation and/or Logistics is not part of this position.

Required Skills

Qualifications include:

  • 3 to 5+ years of Operations and Customer Service Management experience is required
  • Experience managing and leading inside sales and customer service teams is required
  • Strong leadership skills are necessary with ability to motivate team members is required
  • Required to have experience managing multimillion dollar operations
  • Must have excellent communication skills and interest in dealing with customers
  • Industrial Distribution experience is a highly desired
  • Warehousing and Inventory Management experience desired
  • P&L management experience is desired
  • Sales experience is desired
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
