Independent Electric Supply, Inc. (IES) opened in 1976 with ten employees to serve electrical contractors working in the high-tech aerospace industry. SUMMARY
The Pricing Analyst position consists of data coordination, analysis, and research to develop pricing strategies based on product value and market factors in support of Division profit optimization. Works with Contracts and Finance to support customer fact finds, audits, and negotiations.

  • Proactively support strategic pricing initiatives for assigned customers/products to incorporate market and value pricing methodologies.
  • Evaluate historical data, competitive information and product features to develop customer/product specific pricing.
  • Prepare Long Term Agreement proposal sign-offs and negotiation objectives for management review.
  • Partner with Technical Support and Product Management in confirming product commerciality and competitive position for assigned product lines.
  • Capture and communicate to the Market Intelligence Lead platform data, competitive intelligence and other market intelligence vital to growing our business profitably
  • Serve as a cross-functional back-up to other Pricing Analysts including developing part pricing and key and valued customer quoting.
  • Work closely with branch personnel to develop, implement, measure and communicate new pricing strategies
  • Work with the Purchasing department to develop processes and collaborate on proactive ideas to add profitability to IES
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Accounting, Finance, Communications or Supply Chain Management, minimum 3 to 5 (three to five) years’ experience in a financial industry role or pricing role.
  • Skills: Ability to effectively use MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Excellent communication skills including experience drafting formal correspondence. Detail oriented, possessing good analytical skills; ability to anticipate problems & diffuse situations. Judgment, logic, resourcefulness and creativity abilities. Effective teaming skills. Professional image. Knowledge of standard cost accounting.
