Position Summary: Maintain project files and quotations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing to system reports.
  • Reviews vendor quotations and negotiate bid pricing.
  • Pay vendors. Monitor discount opportunities. Resolve purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies. Insure credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Review all vendor invoices for appropriate approval. Issue and process customer billings.
  • Promptly resolves any problems and issues with customer and vendor.
  • Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant telephone etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travel.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Maintain proactive relationship with vendors.
  • Provide project information support to other employees.   

  Education and/or Experience: 


  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience must include at least one of the following: electrical distributor and or vendor representative.
  • Accounting background is a plus but not required.
  • or Equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Must demonstrate good time management skills

  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to write reports including business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, and Word.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Knowledge of the lighting industry.
