The Project Manager is responsible for defining project scope and objectives, coordinating activities of a project team, and identifying resources. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures the installation adherences to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. This position will be located in Jonesboro, AR.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team within a project deployment area including team members, vendors, and contractors.
  • Manage delivery schedules, and human resources to ensure on time completion.
  • Lead internal meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of the program and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Attend customer meetings to provide customer with comprehensive status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Ability to mentor, train and motivate technical personnel as needed for professional development
  • Develop and update, processes and procedures to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure that all work is maintained in a tracking system with complete accuracy.
  • Ensuring all workmanship meets standards
  • Responsible for the completion of all required forms: Time sheets, client sign-offs, Change Orders, Project Summaries and Final Checklists.
  • Identify innovative ways to reduce work cycle times and increase quality.
  • Retrieve, analyze, transform and report data for business intelligence.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience managing Outside Plant projects.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Project, Visio, and Google Earth.
  • GIS/Mapping, AutoCAD experience a plus
Required Experience

Minimum 2+ years Project Management experience- ideally in cable telecommunications - network, IT or construction. Civil engineering projects involving utility construction would be relevant experience as well.

  • Experience conducting end to end project management of large fiber deployment projects; able to provide technical and analytical guidance to a project team
  • Electric Utility Experience a plus
  • Experience with various fiber optic / carrier / collocation (Large data centers) products and services in an operational, engineering or implementation role.
  • Experience with FTTx and/or Small Cell preferred. (fiber to location)
  • Relationship management experience (government/city officials, clients, etc.) preferred.
  • Civil/and or telecommunications construction background preferred.
