Regional eProcurement Specialist

Position Summary:

The job of the regional eProcurement Specialist consists of coordinating and leading eProcurement growth initiatives.   Also, responsible for recommending changes to the existing system and operating procedures with goal of improving overall productivity while driving down costs and maximizing profits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead eProcurement growth initiatives for Sonepar’s west region operating companies by providing expertise to help win new business and convert and/or drive adoption on existing business to digital purchasing solutions
  • Act as a subject matter expert and partner with west region’s Digital Leaders to identify the proper solutions to meet customer specific eProcurement needs
  • Drive all project management activities for the development/implementation of all eProcurement integration projects and programs and ensure implementation aligns with OpCos’ business processes; develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, OpCos, 3rd party partners, Sonepar Management and various Sonepar departments (e.g. marketing, production support, etc.)
  • Partner with Sonepar eProcurement Program Manager to drive overall adoption and develop roadmap for Sonepar’s eProcurement program

Qualifications:

  • 2+ to 5 years of eCommerce experience; preferably in eProcurement space (punchout, EDI, etc.)
  • 2+ to 5 years of project management experience
  • 1+ to 2 years of customer relationship management
  • 1+ to 2 years of process improvement experience
  • Business development experience
  • Be familiar with flat file formats, and electronic interfaces between systems
  • Have strong Windows PC skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
