Position Summary: The Senior Switchgear Specialist will coordinate incoming bids with other switchgear specialists and take part in quotations and project management as well.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

  • Survey new potential accounts and existing accounts for project opportunities on a regular basis
  • Ensure project profitability is maintained and managed
  • Develop strong vendor relationships
  • Analyze changes in market conditions as it applies to project opportunities
  • Develop good working relationships with all specialists, support personnel and sales leaders
  • Develop superior product knowledge to assist customer with product application
  • Cross-functional territory responsibility for value add services
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned


      Education and/or Experience:

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or
  • 10+ years' of related experience managing projects, preferably with sales management experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
