Job Description

Can you lead a large group of warehouse professionals as a Warehouse Team Lead Role?

The Opportunity

You will provide direction to warehouse associates to receive, store, distribute and load material, tools, equipment, and product within the warehouse. You will direct mentors and train associates and resolves challenging opportunities within the scope of work. You will read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. You will mark materials with identifying information. You will open bales, crates and other containers. You will verify and record amounts of materials or items received or distributed. You will drive equipment to transport items within the distribution center. You will use computer to enter records and compile worksheets or ticks from customer specification. You will sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product code. You will sort and store stocked goods in distribution centers. You will weight or counts items for distribution within distribution center to ensure conformance to company standards.

You will pick, pack, load and route materials.

Qualifications & Benefits

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of the Internet
  • Previous forklift/cherry picker experience required
  • Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)
